The Prizes
The following cash awards will be given in each of the
following student groups:
Senior, Junior & Sophomore, and Freshman
- First Prize: $250
- Second Prize: $100
- Third Prize: $50
Decisions on the Prizes depend on student solutions of
problems
given below and will be decided by the departments Contest Committee

The Rules
- All undergraduate students enrolled at UMaine are
eligible.
- Freshman, Sophomores & Juniors, and Seniors
solve their
own sets of problems and the winners among each of these groups will be
awarded separately.
- It is not necessary to solve all the problems.
Students should solve as many problems in their category as they can.
- We expect student integrity; work on the problems
individually.
- On the cover page of your solutions, include your
first and last name, your academic class standing, your major (if
known).
- Solutions should be submitted or mailed before the
deadline to:
